I don’t spend too much time in the area of celebrity gossip, let alone reality TV-star gossip, but this relates to something in the skeptic community. Plenty of people around the world were worried about the 2012 prophecy, and now that it didn’t happen there is a great silence among its former proponents. Perhaps this is in part because they have no money in the lead-up to the Apocalypse.
As revealed in an interview in OK! magazine from the UK, the former reality TV stars from the show The Hills Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are broke, though they had earned (and I use that term as loosely as possible) $10 million. Why are they broke so fast? Because they worried about the end times and figured they needed to spend the money before the asteroid hit.
With the significant loss of money, who knows if there will be a new reality TV show to fix the financial situation. It would seem the 15 minutes of fame are up, but then again there is a great concept I have: The Hills Have Eyes. A reality-horror show? Check please, Hollywood!
