“Redshirts” by John Scalzi and “Redshirt” by Jonathan Coulton

About half a year ago I was able to read the book Redshirts by John Scalzi. The gist of it: the low-ranking members of a space ship’s crew figure out they are dying on away missions just a bit too often. It is a great bit of meta-humor and geekiness, and I loved it. I also had the pleasure of listening to the book as read by, get this, Wil Wheaton. So much nerdism put into one place.

Now I am just discovering that the book has a theme song, sort of, from Jonathan Coulton, called Redshirt.

I hope this can help making you day just a little bit more geeky and Sci-Fi.
